August Favourites

Hello everybody!

Taken inspiration from Youtubers (my guilty pleasure and source of good mood), here I am with monthly favourites! Some of you may know it, some of you may not. It basically means that I'm gonna give you a list of things I have loved throughout the last month. So, here are my August favourites!

FASHION: Flip flops - House

As I'm sure you're aware, August is a summer season. Therefore I'm bringing flip flops to you! I have to say that I bought them because I desperately needed some for a holiday. I bought these in House, I think they were about 4 euros. I cannot say one bad word about them. Those flip flops are the most comfortable ones I've ever come across. They're not those plastic ones you can take into water (even though I did that without realizing it, they survived thank god!). I don't know how's the material called but I can tell you, it feels super soft! Your feet, literally, feel like walking on pillows. Oh, and on the bottom there's a dolphin! Shame on me for not taking a picture of that.

BEAUTY: Eyebrow kit - Oriflame

To begin with, I'm not a big Oriflame fan. If I'm right, this is the first item that I own and like! No, I don't like it, I love it! Ever since I got this I haven't stopped using it. It contains 2 brown shadows, 1 wax and 2 brushes (one for shadows, one for wax). Even though the light brown seems very light, that's the shadow I've been mostly using, because it isn't that light once you put it on.

SONGS:
5 Seconds of Summer - Amnesia
Troye Sivan - Happy Little Pill
Maroon 5 - Maps

I've decided that every single month I will choose three songs I've been loving. I simply cannot go only with one. Trust me, even three are very hard to pick.
For the past month, me and my sister have been completely obsessed with Amnesia by 5SOS. We know all the words, we're singing it every single day at least a thousand times. Yeah, we love it that much. There's just something about that track I absolutely love. Oh, and lyrics! Just listen to lyrics!
For the next song of the month, I've chosen Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan. And here comes my Youtube obsession. Troye is a Youtuber whom I've been following for a good while, loved since the first moment our paths crossed. Such a nice guy, great voice, unique song in every way! Definitely worth listening!
The third pick has to be Maroon 5 and my beloved Maps. (Soon you'll realize what a huge fan of Maroon 5 I am!) Don't let me begin with Adam's voice and the band itself, because everything about them is perfect. The song Maps has been stuck in my head since it came out and I haven't gotten enough of it yet!

MOVIE: Divergent

At first, I wanted to choose The Fault In Our Stars but I didn't, because it's my favourite book of the month and I simply wanted to choose something different no matter how much I loved the movie. I'm sure we all did. Therefore, I chose another movie with Shailene Woodley instead. People have been saying Divergent is so similar to Hunger Games and I agree a little. The plot is very alike, yet very different. Not gonna lie, it is a little predictable, but I liked it anyway. Haven't read the books yet, but I'm definitely planning to.

TV SHOW: True Blood

No other tv show than True Blood couldn't win in August. It's been a long journey which has come to its end. I am sad True Blood is over. It was so much fun to watch. Supernatural beings of all kinds, funny lines, controversial scenes, irresistible Eric Northman and unforgettable Bill's "Sookie" that never failed to make me laugh.
BOOK: The Fault In Our Stars

As I've mentioned already, the book that won my heart in August is, without any doubt, TFIOS. I read it a little later than I planned but I was forced by university exams to postpone it. Luckily, I got my hands on the book. I read it in Czech language, although, I want to read it in English and Slovak as well. (I really like to compare the original with different translations.)
The story of pure love has made many people cry, me included. John Green wrote a masterpiece that's gonna be remembered by everybody who read it. Story so sad, yet so happy! Bravo, John Green!

FOOD: Bercoff Klember Herbal - Mint tea

You're probably wondering, "Girl, tea in August?" Yes! I do that very often and I enjoy it very much, thank you for asking. I know it doesn't make sense, but hot tea honestly freshenes you during hot summer days. My favourite in August has been mint tea by Bercoff Klember (hasn't changed by now). I don't buy this brand very often but this tea is so good that I might give it a try!
RANDOM: Memory/storage box

The last category I came up with is random stuff. There is always something you love that doesn't fit any category. That's what this is for! As for August, I had to go with the lovely looking box I bought. I needed some storage space for all the memories I've collected so far. It was so messy and unorganized. Some ticket here, some photo there, another thing over there. You know what I'm talking about. I'm very happy it's all at one place now. You can only imagine how happy I was when I saw this box. With a map pattern on it!!! A map! Nothing more is needed in my life right now!

That is it for my August favourites. Hope you have an amazing day!
See ya!
